About Sage

Identity

I am a white, non-binary, queer, disabled, and fat individual who uses they/them pronouns.

My values and work are liberation-focused, anti-racist, LGBTQIA-affirming, fat-positive, feminism-derived, and poly/ENM/SW/kink-friendly. My practice is a safe space for folks feeling vulnerable. I practice from an intersectional and de-colonizing lens while acknowledging the many systems of power we encounter. I work to mitigate the impact of the medical-industrial complex that often overshadows mental health and community support.

I share my identities and lens of approach so that you can be further informed about how my lived experience may or may not interact with your values and expectations.

Modalities

I am informed and comfortable with a variety of therapeutic models, including :

Relational/Attachment Therapy Models

FFT (Functional Family Therapy)

IFS (Internal Family Systems)

EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy)

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy)

I believe (and the research strongly indicates) that the foundation of positive therapeutic outcomes lies in the relationship between clinician and client. I strive to create an environment where our relationship provides space for you to heal and grow while feeling safe and supported.
